FRUIT CROP PROJECTS

The Osceola County Fair offers its Premier Exhibitor Program to 4-H and FFA exhibitors in the Market Animal Programs, Heifer Program, and/ or Fruit Crop Program. The objective of the Premier Exhibitor Program is to highlight those exhibitors who best exemplify all aspects of Market Animal Program, Heifer Program, and/or Fruit Crop Program.

 

The Premier Exhibitor is a points system based on exhibitor participation beyond the required minimum. Points will be based on scoring and are given for the following:

 

Record Book Scores and Placing’s

Skill-a-thon and Skill-a-thon Placing’s

Tree Placing for Contest and Spare Trees Show Placing’s

Personally Delivered Buyer Letters

Fruit Crop Tabletop

Questionnaire

Demonstrations

Attending workshops/ field trips

Teaching workshops

Resume (Seniors Only)

 

At the end of the year, based on the number of points you have earned you could win the Premier Exhibitor Award for your primary market animal project. An applicant must have a minimum of 150 points be considered for a placing. 1st place will receive a belt buckle and monetary award. 2nd and 3rd place will receive a monetary award.

 

KVLS does not require your participation in the Premier Exhibitor Program. Verification forms must be completed correctly to receive your points.

 

You must accumulate a minimum of 150 points to be considered for the award. In the event of a Tie the following will be used to determine the Tie Breaker:

  1. Score on Skill-A-Thon
  2. Score on Record Book
  3. Questionnaire Score
  4. Tabletop Placing

 

THERE WILL NOT BE A TURN IN SCHEDULED FOR PREMIER EXHIBITOR THIS YEAR.  THE DEADLINE FOR ALL WEBSITE SUBMISSIONS TO BE COUNTED FOR THIS PROGRAM WILL BE FEBRUARY 1ST, 2022.

 

You are required to register for the Premier Exhibitor Award online by Thursday, August 12th, 2021.  When you register, you are registering to compete in the youth Fruit Crop category. This means that you are competing against all exhibitors in that category. An exhibitor may register to compete in a maximum of three (3) Premier Exhibitor Programs. (Primary Market Animal, Heifer, and/ or Fruit Crop).  Fruit Crop packets, verification forms, record books are required to be turned prior to the fair in February to be considered for the award. Packets will not be accepted after the deadline. Due date is to be determined.
